Investment can be daunting. That’s why many people prefer to appoint a professional to manage their money. This is known as “discretionary” investment management, which simply means that the manager has the discretion to take investment decisions on your portfolio, within the parameters agreed with you.
Your portfolio has an agreed investment strategy – for example to achieve moderate growth over the long term – and your investment manager decides which investments to buy or sell from time to time in order to achieve this goal.
We take the big decisions together – many minds are better than one – and so all our investment managers follow the same core investment decisions. But the particular implementation of those may vary from client to client, to suit individual needs.
